Fifty Shades of Grey box office update

Fifty Shades of Grey scored the largest 1-day box office total in February history. A $30.2 million Friday day opening places this S&M/bondage movie on pace to finish between $80-$95 million during the 4-day President's Day weekend. Fifty Shades has a good shot to reach these totals in the traditional 3-day weekend alone. Stay tuned for Valentine's Day box office results tomorrow.

If Fifty Shades of Grey can somehow break the $90 million barrier without Monday receipts included, this will place this R-rated movie within striking distance of Matrix Reloaded as the top opening R-rated film of all time. Fifty Shades of Grey is making February movie history.

Female moviegoers have something intriguing to talk about this weekend. They have a huge desire to seduce their sexual appetites watching these types of movies. When the lights go out, will these women open up to new experiments? Are women planning to explore their darker, sensual sides? Fifty Shades of Grey novels unlocked these doors and are now showing Christian and Anastasia visually perform those seductive fantasies.

Fifty Shades of Grey is going after the female demographics in a huge way. The novels entertained millions of sexual fantasies, giving S&M a global spotlight to sell 100 million books. Check back soon for Valentine's Day box office updates.
